New Term Thurs 2nd Sept and Fri 3rd Sept are INSET days. The children start back on Monday 6th Sept. Please ensure that personal property, especially coats, bags, jumpers and cardigans are clearly labelled with your child's name. Each year we end up with masses of unnamed lost property which must have cost a small fortune!

School Inspection Estyn have now published our school inspection report. All parents will receive a paper summary of the report. Parents can request a paper copy of the full report from school. Alternatively parents can read the full report by clicking on the link below. http://www.estyn.gov.uk/inspection_reports/Ton_Yr_Ywen_Primary_School_February_2010.pdf Here is an extract from the School's response to the inspection report: 'The staff and governors have considered the outcomes of the inspection and are delighted that the findings acknowledge that Ton-Yr-Ywen is a very good school, with very many outstanding features in so many aspects of its provision. We hope that children and parents will enjoy reading all the positive comments that the inspectors have made about them and their school.'

Registration Please remember to be on time. The bell goes at 8:55am for the start of school. The register is closed and sent to the office at 9:30pm. If children miss registration, parents will receive an automated text message from our School Comms system.

School Comms

The school has registered with School Comms. This is a service which allows schools to send information to parents or carers via email and text message. We will continue to send paper copies of letters but we hope the new service will allow parents to stay better informed about school life.
